This was one of the friendliest hotels that I have stayed in. The rooms were good, pool excellent. The remoteness a bonus as we had to use the hotels boat to go into town which was always an adventure. We also made use of the boat trips to go to the beach or lake organised from the hotel. At times we were the odd ones out as we had not stayed there before. Perfect for those seeking a quiet relaxing holiday.

The escape and the fact that you could only get to the hotel via the little boat. The staff were exceptional and the food was great too.
Rooms are a little tired

Such a beautiful gem in the middle of nowhere! So quiet and lovely pool and more than enough loungers and beautiful garden with hammocks. Room was basic but clean and big enough. Bathroom has very nice big bath. Breakfas tarea set next to the pool was lovely.
Although I knew the hotel could only be reached by boat, I didnt know it took almost 15 minutes and that the boat only goes to town and back at certain set times and after a few days I got fed up with not being able to get out whenever I wanted and felt a bit locked up especially at night.

It is a quiet and relaxing location with a very clean swimming pool which is cleaned at night and early morning every day. The gardens are well laid out with abundant flowers and flowering shrubs and trees. All the staff are very pleasant and attentive and it lends itself to a very enjoyable holiday. To get to Dalyan town you are transported by the hotels own boat which is a good way of travelling. On an evening you need to get a taxi from Dalyan to the opposite side of the river and you are ferried across a short stretch, as boats are not allowed on the river at night, to safeguard the nesting turtles. We have been twice and look forward to returning again.

If you wish to relax immersed in nature this is for you. The location of the hotel on the opposite bank of the river from Dalyan is not for those not wanting bars and restaurants. There is a local mud bath some ten minutes walk away, where, for 5lira you can wallow followed by a dip in a thermal pool. A boat service will take you into Dalyan four times a day. Take lots of reading material.
For a two week stay the food becomes repetitive.

Mrs Nilgun and her staff really looked after us. Yes the rooms are very basic, but you know what If you are looking for a relaxed, peaceful and personal attention than Sultan Palas Hotel Is the right place for you! We where lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the turtles on our way In to Dalyan whilst on the boat whitch was very relaxed,oh and something else It Is stress free.Know what more could you ask for!?

hotel is unique with a fabulous location, the rooms are comfortable, the environment is very interesting-it is situated in quite a remote location which has advantages ( very peaceful) and disadvantages ( only accessible by river taxi which goes to and from Dalyan town every 2hr between 10.30 am and 7 pm ) the pool is lovely and fed by an artesian well so no chemicals in the water ( and you get to swim with the frogs ! ) and the breakfasts are marvellous.
We found the frequency and timing of the river taxi to be somewhat restrictive altho it is possible to make a private arrangement if you want to stay in Dalyan later in the eve - this involves a taxi ride or half hour walk ( not recommended in the dark! )
